Join us as we meet bright and early on the Wilmington Riverwalk at Market & Water Streets. Here we will be joined by our guide, Lori, who will give us a 12-15 block guided tour (1 hour and 15 minutes) beginning and ending at Market St. The tour will start at the Riverwalk and proceed to Chandler's Wharf, then continue into the Historic District, which features many landmarks that make the historic downtown notable. You will learn about the history and architecture of this area, as well as the famous personalities who have called the city home. You will also hear about the sea tales, folklore, and customs of the past. Wear your walking shoes and a light jacket and enjoy the morning air with us! Bring your water bottle.
After the tour, we will stop for breakfast (on your own and optional) at Dixie Grill, 116 Market Street. Dixie Grill offers a classic Southern menu featuring fresh, flavorful food choices. Enjoy breakfast prepared with the simplicity of comfortable, tasty Southern cuisine. Did someone say homemade biscuits? Enjoy your selections inside at the familiar tables, booths, or counter bar (repeatedly used for movie and television filming). Come visit history with a business that first opened in 1903.

Meet the group on the riverwalk at Market & Water Street at 8:00 AM
Parking is available in the parking deck at Market Street Garage, 115 Market St. (between Front St. and 2nd St. @ $1 an hour. If you have a handicap plaque, you can park for free in metered parking near our starting point.
Cost: $20 per person
Register for the walk and breakfast by Tuesday, September 9th.
