Saturday, November 12

7:00 A.M.:  Depart Wilmington for Charlotte, NC via motorcoach (approx. 4 hour drive)

Lunch on your own

Carolina Aviation Museum to see “Miracle on the Hudson” airplane and other exhibits. Mint to Mint Museums: Ticket includes shuttle pass so you can visit both museums. Mint Museum Uptown is near hotel for easy walking. Return to hotel to depart for group dinner (included).

Lodging: Hyatt Place Charlotte Downtown.

 

Sunday, November 13

Breakfast at the Hyatt.  Early Mass at St. Peters within walking distance of our hotel (optional)

9:00-10:30: Guided motor coach tour of Charlotte

Option 1:  11:00 A.M.: Walk to 1:00 PM Panthers vs. Kansas City game. Lunch on your own at Garden of Eaten’ at St. Peters--on the way to Bank America Stadium, or at the stadium.

    -OR-

Option 2:  11:00 A.M.: Board coach for the Southern Living Christmas Show (SLCS).  Lunch available there on your own.

Evening: Meet back at the hotel for group dinner (included.)

Lodging: Hyatt Place Charlotte Downtown

 

Monday, November 14

Breakfast at the Hyatt; Check out of hotel.

10 A.M.-1:00 P.M.:  NASCAR Hall of Fame on a High Octane Combo Pass that includes admission, simulator ride, light lunch at the Pitstop Café and NASCAR lanyard. 

1:30-2:30 PM: Billy Graham Library and return to Wilmington about 8:30 P.M.; dinner on the way (included).

Trip Includes: Transportation except foot traffic in the city, lodging as noted, 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch @ NASCAR, 3 dinners, admissions as noted.

Does not include: Gratuity for driver, step-on-guide, donations you wish to make; ticket for Panthers game (TBD) or ticket to Christmas Show @ $10.  Choose one or the other.

 

Cost of Panther’s tickets is not yet available; expect to be in $75 to $85 range. Group seats will be on the upper bleachers (rows 16-30) in the corners of the stadium.  Must buy minimum of 20 tickets for group rate. Passionate Panther fans who must sit on the 50-yard line may buy their own tickets ASAP. Group tickets will go on sale on May 20, and will be purchased from your deposit.

 

Cost of basic tour: $750.  Remember this does not include Panther and Christmas Show tickets. 

Deposit: $350 Kindly, specify whether you want a group Panther or Christmas Show ticket purchased for you. 

 

Deposit Due: ASAP, but no later than May 19, 2016.  (See mailing address below.)

Deposits must be in my hands by May 19 so I can be in the queue to buy your ticket on May 20.  

(GE Retirees may give Mimi Cunningham their deposits at their GE picnic.

 

Final Payment: $400 + cost of opt. Panther ticket, or $410 if you are going to the SLCS.

Final Payment due:  October 1, 2016.
