A Day in "County Duplin"

December 11, 2015

In just one day, you can...

7:45 AM:  Board motorcoach ready to go.* Seating in the first three rows of the coach is reserved for people with mobility and motion issues. Otherwise, seating is on a first-come/first seated basis.

8:00 AM:  Feel the wheels as they turn toward Duplin County.

9:00 AM:  Briefly visit Olive Branch Florist near Wallace. They have Christmas decorations that are gorgeous, unique and presented in home like settings. You may see some items that will inspire you to go back and shop later. You may not have time to make purchases today.

9:45 AM:  Begin drive to Kenansville, North Carolina.

10:00 AM:  Tour Liberty Hall - both home and grounds - and Cowan Museum in Kenansville. These venues will be decorated in traditional holiday greens.

11:30 AM:  Depart museum and take a short driving tour around Kenansville to see some local historic sites before arriving at The Country Squire for wine tasking and a light lunch at 12:00 Noon.

If time permits, there is one more stop we can make between Kenansville and Rose Hill.

3:00 PM:  Drive to Rose Hill, North Carolina to Duplin Winery.

3:15 PM:  Arrive at the Duplin Winery for a tour, wine tasting, dinner and The Down Home Christmas Show.

9:00 PM:  Return to Wilmington - all via a private motorcoach.

This tour is planned for a minimum of 20 people and a maximum of 44 people. We have space available but hurry as time to purchase show tickets is now!

Dress at your discretion as long as you wear comfortable shoes. You may wish to dress in holiday attire.

*A departure/return site is planned for the BACK parking lot at Winter Park Baptist Church.  The church is located at 4700 Wrightsville Avenue and has a tall white steeple. The BACK of the church is on Park Avenue where there is no street number. The parking lot that we will use is a pie-shaped property between Park Avenue and Pine Grove Drive. This lot is also across the street from Pine Grove Office Park and The Wesley Memorial Activity Center. You will see vehicles marked Winter Park Baptist Church parked on the lot and most likely the charter motorcoach will be in place when you arrive.
